Le Manoir & La Villa are two large semi-detached holiday cottages which are part of the outbuildings of the Château de Bourneau, b.. They can communicate through a door in the living room of La Villa, if you wish, which will give you direct access to the garden of Le Manoir.

ABOUT LE MANOIR

This holiday cottage was originally the coach house of the Château de Bourneau Estate and it remains its most impressive cottage. The beautiful wisteria climbing on its facade gives it a traditional French farmhouse charm and is perfect for Summer al fresco dining. There is a private walled garden, with its own swimming pool, BBQ and ping-pong table. Le Manoir carries its name well as it sits proudly at the entrance of the Château de Bourneau Estate, directly facing the chateau. Its very spacious rooms and living areas will comfortably welcome large groups for all occasions. The ground floor houses a large open-plan living room and adjoining reading or playroom. The kitchen has a direct access to the garden, which is perfect when preparing your outdoor meals, allowing you to enjoy the climate of the second sunniest region in France! A double bedroom with its ensuite bathroom completes the ground floor and will offer privacy and easier access for guests who find stair-climbing difficult. The other bedrooms are all situated upstairs, where you will find an additional three bathrooms. Outside, the garden with its private herb garden and charming original well, provides the perfect sunbathing spot around your private swimming pool.

ABOUT LA VILLA

This holiday cottage, situated in the 16 hectare Estate of the Château de Bourneau, is perfect for large family gatherings and reunions. Its impressive open-plan kitchen and large high-ceilinged dining room make the perfect self-contained function area, separate from the rest of the house and bedrooms, overlooking its private swimming pool. The bedrooms (two with double beds and four with two single beds) are grouped together in the other wing of the house. The garden is very well protected from the other side of the house, which will allow you to enjoy this space in complete privacy, whether it is for a moment around the pool or a meal outside with a BBQ.

Frequently Asked Questions

ARRIVAL
Check in is strictly from 16:00. Please do confirm with us your likely time of arrival so that we can ensure that we will be available to welcome you. Any additional services must be pre-paid before being granted access to the cottage.

PARKING
A car park is at your disposal behind the holiday cottages, follow the path on the right before the château. We do not accept camper vans or tents on the property.

CHECK OUT
On the day of your departure, we ask you to be ready for check-out at 10:00 and to leave the cottage in a reasonable state. With the exception of the period between mid-July and the end of August period, a late departure time (maximum 16:00) may sometimes be possible for an additional fee. If you wish to take advantage of this extended stay, do contact us for more details and for us to block calendar accordingly.

CLEANING & TOURIST TAX
Because we wish you to have a relaxing stay, we choose to take care of the cleaning and also tourism taxes. Please do leave the cottage in a reasonable state, take out the bins and empty fireplace/BBQ ashes into the steel bucket provided. We also provide a selection of essential cleaning products such as washing-up liquid, floor detergent, glass cleaner and surface cleaner.

GARDEN & SWIMMING POOL
Each cottage has its own gated private garden with their own swimming pool. They are equipped with an automatic alarm for your safety. Our swimming pools are unheated and open from May until mid-September. They are thoroughly cleaned before your arrival. Deck chairs are also provided. Each cottage is equipped with a BBQ so do remember to bring your own charcoal if you wish to enjoy a BBQ in the sunshine. On the day of departure, we simply ask you to empty the BBQ and place the ashes in the steel bucket provided. You will also find in each cottage a table tennis, rackets and balls.

LAUNDRY & TOWELS
We provide all bed linen and a large and a small towel per person for bathroom use ONLY (please pack you own swimming pool towels). Upon arrival, your bed will be made. We are proud to support a local community charity for all our laundry and ironing services.

INTERNET
Our property receives 4G signal and we have recently installed Wi-Fi in all the holiday cottages.

THE PROPERTY
The château is our private home and restoration project and is unfortunately not open to the public. However, our guests are welcome to enjoy the 16 hectares of the Château de Bourneau Estate. You can go for a run in our woods or relax and enjoy the view at the ruined orangery with a good book.

TV & READING ROOM
Each cottage has a TV and reading area. We provide a selection of DVDs, games and books.

BABY
All our cottages are equipped with a cot, a high chair and a baby bath. Please let us know if you require a cot sheet.

OTHER EQUIPMENT
The kitchens of all cottages are equipped with 2 fridge-freezers, a gas hob, an oven and a microwave. We also provide a kettle, a filter coffee machine and a toaster. Each cottage has its own dishwasher, washing machine, clothes drying rack, iron & ironing board and hairdryer
